Optimising vendor relationships and driving efficiencies

Technology partnerships are essential in this evolving landscape. While many CIOs believe vendors understand their business needs, 59% find vendor solutions are too complex to manage effectively. Additionally, our 2025 global survey of 1,000 CIOs highlights that two-thirds admit to underutilising some of their tools, indicating inefficiencies in system usage.

Accessing performance insights remains difficult for many organisations, with 90% reporting challenges in understanding digital performance. This fragmentation can create blind spots that hinder decision-making and the full potential of data.

As the CIO's role becomes more strategic, managed service providers can help alleviate these challenges by optimising vendor relationships and driving efficiencies.

Anita Swann, VP Global Alliances, Logicalis, says:

"Successful partnerships must now centre around unlocking value, simplifying complexity, and driving transformation, rather than selling products and services. With the right partner, CIOs won't just be able to drive efficiencies but optimise costs and deliver return on innovation in the form of growth."

For CIOs to prove their impact and value, a new customer-partner dynamic prioritising ROI and innovation is essential. A strategic approach to selecting partners can reduce complexities and enhance overall digital value.
